Founding AI Software Engineer

We're looking for someone who loves building things, solving problems, and architecting systems that will scale. The goal is to dramatically reduce lead times, improve quality, and enable more efficient manufacturing at scale. This is a founding software engineering role: you won't inherit a playbook, you'll help write it. One day you might be shipping a new product feature end to end, the next building a multi-agent pipeline that reads an engineering drawing, tuning prompts and evals against production data, or standing up the infrastructure that lets us move faster. **What you'll do** * Ship new product features end to end - design, build, test, deploy * Build and refine AI pipelines, multi-agent systems, and the evals that keep them honest in production * Own backend services and APIs from data model to endpoint (Python / FastAPI / Postgres) * Build data pipelines for model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement * Run experiments, internal and in production, to find what actually wins and retains users * Make the architecture and technical calls that scale with the company **Who we're looking for** * We care more about what you've built than where you trained or how many years you've logged. * High ownership and a strong bias toward shipping: you see what needs to happen and make it happen * Has owned a production system end to end: designed it, shipped it, kept it running * Has built and deployed real AI/ML features in production, and knows how to measure their reliability * Strong full-stack engineer, fluent in Python / FastAPI * Comfortable with LLM orchestration and agent architectures * Thrives in ambiguous, early-stage environments **Nice to haves** * Agent-evaluation techniques and tools for measuring reliability * Cloud infra, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD * Prior startup experience * CAD / Autodesk Fusion experience, or a mechanical engineering background * You build with AI tools natively: Claude Code, MCPs, agents, whatever's latest, and have tuned your setup to maximize output **How we work** * Everyone owns problems end to end and ships to production constantly * We measure iteration in days, not months * AI-native by default - we use Claude Code, Cursor, and modern AI tooling daily, and expect the team to move fast because of it **Technology** Next.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, Python, Postgres, Supabase, AWS, Vercel, Cloudflare **Benefits** * Competitive salary + meaningful equity * 100% medical, dental, and vision * 401(k) retirement plan * Daily lunch * Flexible time off * Latest hardware and unlimited Claude + OpenAI access **Why Join** You'll be one of the earliest engineers helping build technology at the intersection of AI and manufacturing.
