Rudus is an AI-powered takeoff platform for structural and site concrete. We accelerate concrete takeoffs by 70%+ with AI trained specifically on structural and civil drawings- counting, measuring, and reading sheets so estimators can focus on winning bids.
### **The Role**
You'll be one of the first engineers, shipping across the entire stack: drawing intake and rendering, AI-powered element detection and autocomplete, real-time collaborative editing, schedule interpretation, and exports into estimators' bidding workflows. You'll work directly with customers and see your code run on real bids within days of shipping.
### **What You'll Do**
* Own features end-to-end: design, build, ship, and iterate based on direct customer feedback
* Build AI systems that read construction drawings, schedules, details, and plan views; and turn them into takeoff quantities
* Develop real-time collaborative tooling: multiplayer editing, version history, cloud workspaces
* Work on geometry-heavy problems: scale detection, pattern-matching footings, auto-completing curb runs and slab boundaries
* Shape engineering culture, architecture, and hiring as the team grows
### **What We're Looking For**
* Strong generalist with production experience in Python and TypeScript
* Comfortable owning ambiguous problems from idea to deployed feature
* Bias toward shipping fast and iterating with users
* Bonus: experience with LLMs/computer vision, canvas/geometry rendering, or construction tech
